In the heart of Morpeth’s Conservation Area this scheme for Cecil M Yuill Ltd provides apartments for the elderly. The Civic Trust Awards assessor’s report commented: “With delight round every corner, this must be a lovely place to live whatever one’s age”.

A high density scheme for Wimpey Homes in the heart of this historic town. On reviewing the scheme The Royal Fine Art Commission commented that they were “particularly pleased to see a volume house builder taking such a responsive attitude to a sensitive and difficult site.”
The first of many Sure Start and Children’s Centre projects for the practice. This commission was to alter and extend an existing run-down nursery building as well as dramatically altering the image of the setting to remove the stigma that the community attached to the site.
The eight bed respite care facility compliments the existing adult, in-patient and day care accommodation all designed by the practice.

We were one of four architects selected nationally to develop concept designs for hospital environments aimed to reduce patient, visitor and staff stress and promote patient well being. We were delighted to receive 52% of the public on-line vote for the most preferred proposals.
We undertook two major Sure Start projects in the Bishop Auckland area for Wear Valley Sure Start. Both involved altering and extending existing education/childcare facilities with an aim to alter the local community’s pre-conceptions about the localities.

This award winning project delivers an exciting and innovative education, community and visitor centre at the heart of the RSPB International Nature Reserve at Saltholme.
This award winning treatment and complimentary therapy facility extends the current day centre service at the hospice.
We have been appointed by Gentoo Ventures Ltd to carry out the design and phased implementation of the complete renewal of this estate, creating 700 new homes and addressing long term maintenance, sustainability and anti-social behaviour issues that the original state experienced.
Having developed the design for this new £16million hospice on a steeply sloping site in Springburn, Glasgow, we worked closely with Sir Robert McAlpine to successfully deliver the project at the end of 2009.
We are acting for both Bellway Homes and Rivergreen Developments plc for the detail design and delivery of this complex mix-used scheme.
